Insomniac Poems

Insomniac Poems

A Poem by Andromeda
"

not one of my best but w/e

"

Two o’clock in the morning poems—

Those are the best.

Dreaming of whimsical words that

Fit together like puzzle pieces

But

Puzzle pieces are much too clear-cut:

Puzzle pieces are clear-cut trees, destroying the oxygen balance in the atmosphere,

So

I suppose

Whimsical words ought to fit together like—

Fit together like

Parsley and fancy dinners,

Christmas and snow,

Dances and lost glass slippers,

Dreams and long-forgotten, believed-forgotten

Memories.

Two o’clock in the morning

Poems

Certainly

Are the             best.
