Late-Night Poetic Inspiration

Late-Night Poetic Inspiration

A Poem by Andromeda
"

...

"

I just wanted you to know

I saw you looking out your window last night,

Looking out the window straight

Into my eyes.

I didn’t know what to say to you

Then

And I still don’t know now.

I’ll never find words for you

And I don’t even know your

Name.

You’ve got beautiful eyes, I must say—

Like finest Chinese crystal.

A jewel in a town of ruins.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

You’re my

Late-night

Poetic

Inspiration.

And I

Don’t even

Know

Your

Name.

Tomorrow I will be that noontime knock at your door.

But I said that yesterday.

I just wanted you to know.

But

Maybe

You

Never

Will.
