Does she see us,

Does she care—

The one who watches from over there,

The one who weeps within her lair?

 

Does she know us,

Does she hear

That we are those who share her fear,

Those who are ashamed to creep near?

 

As we continue

Both

On our paths alone,

Does she wonder

As we both shiver

From the thunder

And the rain coming

Cold?
