Rain from PenA Poem by Andromedawriting impulsivelyI can’t stop writing. Flows like water from my pen: Bloodstain on my paper And, this world I am in, I find that Blood is thicker than water, And water is not what Keeps me buried in. I can’t stop writing, For I find that, If I were to, All I would think about All I would think about Would be you. And you are Like the dew that glistens the Glassy grass of early May. That day That day I can’t get from my mind that day. Blood may be thicker than water, But blood is not what keeps me Caught here, With pen to paper, Deftly inking this bloodstain Across my paper— Words put to paper You put to paper And my heart Caught in that thinnest thing: The spaces in between The College-ruled lines. You Are what keeps Me buried in, What locks the words in, What keeps the words coming Like an endless rain An endless rain I would not Dare to dream of dancing in. © 2008 Andromeda |
