Can't

Can't

A Poem by Andromeda
"

one thing about stress: it inspires poetry.

"

Why

Can’t life be

As simple as

We thought it was

When we were children,

And everything relied on

The sun’s position in the sky

And

Whether the grass was green enough

And dry for

Saturday soccer games?

Why

Can’t life be

The play-dough sculpting and

Fairytale scripting

And

A salary of a

Million dollars a day?

Why does life

Have to be

Pushing ten pounds

Of groceries in

A buggy with two broken wheels?

Why can’t

Life

Be

Children’s

And simplicity?

I must concur. Stress dose increase the productivity of writing, I've been so stressed that I haven't been able to sleep in four days and I've written 6 poems and 2 short stories. But that is neither here nor there.

I liked your poem, though it was a little awkward when you would split up a sentence between two stanzas:
"Why
Can't life be

The play-dough sculpting and
Fairytale scripting"
Other than that though I though that this was sweet and refreshing... It's calming actually. Kudos ;)
