Stay the night

And try not to fight

This lovely thing

We’ve unlocked inside.

 

Don’t be afraid,

You’ll be okay—

My hand is

Safe to hold.

 

I know your heart is cold,

But warm it up by the fire,

And I’m sure tonight

Will inspire

 

A kiss

And return

To the things I miss

 

From when we were young

And life was too long to

Hold one hand forevermore.

 

Stay the night

And let’s rewrite—

Let’s renew—

The love that

Holds like glue.
