Paint is FreeA Poem by Andromeda...? i felt like it
Paint a picture and set it free, Run the brush around the edges, Wipe away the bars, And think of me. Paint the way it used to be. Paint the way we used to see, Before our eyes were clogged by Clocks and lies, Words thick as gold and men Thick as the ties around their necks. Craft us both in immortal strokes, A touch of black in both our lips, A splatter of blue for dream-come-true: Painted dream that never chokes. Paint the way your eyes saw mine. Paint the way we walked the line, Before our future was blocked by Bars on the windows, Sneers thin as mirrors and hopes Thin as the canvas that they crave. Paint a picture and set it free, And I pray— Please— Do the same for me. © 2008 Andromeda |
