Rain on the RoofA Poem by Andromedakinda trite, but ohwell, it happensHis eyes were cotton candy blue, And his lies— His lies were oh, so smooth, Like listening to rain on the roof. And try as she could To run away, The hum in his voice said stay Stay Stay Stay forever and a day. And try as she could She could not get away, For his face followed ever after her, And his lies were all she knew, Turning her back around As soon as she’d left; Rewinding the slammed door behind her Each and every time; Decisions Yes or no Spinning on a dime, Painted a shade of cotton candy blue.
