Silently: A Tear falls from the EyeA Poem by -Scribe in Style-Silently: A Tear falls from the Eye I'd never ask you to stop my tears from falling, rather I'd plead to you to stop them from forming. I'd never ask for the trials to stop coming, rather for the strength to keep standing. I'd never ask for your efforts in perfection, rather a little respect and understanding. So instead of asking any further, my eyes are full of salty water, and the drops don't fit the body of the pure ocean instead they cover my face in place of make-up and lotion. They follow one another's flow to trail stream upon my cheek, but just to be let free for they have no destination that they seek. Although it's a journey like a map contour pattern, it shows only because the theatre has closed the curtain. Because my heart has sunk so deep, I purse together my top and bottom lip... and when I close my eyes to blink, a water droplet appears on my lash tip. I let the tear drop; without a fight, whole and soul, expecting that I'll feel the weight lighter now, instead the burden is heavier to hold, and the truth I knew takes a complimentary bow. © 2017 -Scribe in Style-Featured Review
