September here

September here

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

A new year at school

"
Summer's Over
September's Here
Let all my old friends make it clear
They want new friends and leave me behind
Another year to start the pain
Friendships flaming in the rain
Waiting for October leaves
To drop and leave the trees bare again
November Rains shiver bones in pain
Severed friendship cut to the bone
No one beside me everyone leaves me alone
My comfort comes from knowing the God of the sky for he is fair in everyones eyes
Cutoff from old friends
Take time to make a new friend
December's calling Snow on the way
Jack Frost clawing at your nose
Cheerful thought of Christmas spirit
and a break for the end of the year
January Slides on by
Colder weather forecasted
Bitter sweet for poor Jack
Just can't find a friend that last
February the shortest month
a chilling reminder of the pain
Promises of Spring fly by
with no sign of ending winter early
March is here time for spring baseball
and fun sports
April filled with rainy days
as we fight to get the games played
So we don't have a double schedule
In early May when the sunny days
Come for everywhere
Lots of fun in the sun
as we get ready for summer all over again
June is hot July is not then
there is August and September
back to school once again
a new year on the lose

Lovely poem about the seasons, nice

Posted 11 Years Ago

So it goes, a continuing cycle, and mostly beauty abounds in each season... This was a good reflective piece for me to read at this time, as a new school year begins... Nicely done, Jim.
