For the love of my Dog

Luna the Grand Dog

I had nothing but puppy love

A dog without a master

No owner in sight

I brought him home

Just in case Dad Might

Let us own a puppy 

that I would take care

With love and honesty to share

Dad did not like dog germs

all over the place

So I had to come from somewhere else

To plant my case 

that I needed a dog

to love and embrace

I wanted to call the Dog Luna

for he was from outer space

For that's the only way Luna

would catch the heart of my Dad
