Smitty this started off very well. I think the case was stated and towards the middle/end the thread was lost or very knotted.
I would not put this in "I was a piece of toilet paper" - a better analogy perhaps? something in keeping with the rest of the poem - I understand though why its here though.
this line "if they must I hope I better " needs revising.
I like the awareness and resilience and the 'eyes wide open' feel of this one -the determination not to get fooled again.
