LOVE AND THE BROKEN HEART IN ME

LOVE AND THE BROKEN HEART IN ME

A Poem by SmittyJas

I had lots of love
I spread my heart around
All that was left of me
Was love and the broken heart in me

After the break ups
There were no makes ups
Just a lonely heart in my chest
No where to lay my head and rest

Broken hearts I left behind
Did not bother to try to mend
Maybe one of those Gals still had a heart for me
But my heart was as cold as Alaska in the midnight sun

Let this be a lesson to you teens
Don't play games with hearts
Your heart may be the one that really smarts
When this lesson is learned

So Don't take a love for granted
Say I love you and mean it
Don't use hearts
Like misery prolonged

Oh how I wish someone like this write would have a talk with todays youth. Love to most is a sexual response...not love at all. How do we explain to the young that love comes from the heart, not sexual responses. Valentine
