Grand Daughters Way

A street I walk down every day

Dear friends and foe alike

Come to me with all your might

Listen with your golden ears

To these words that are so dear

You and me go back so many years

Filled with so many memories and tears

I love you with all my heart and soul

We wrote together all the golden rules

We acted as if you hadn't had a care

When we should have been beware

Of things that go bump in the night

Scaring us with deadly fright

So dear friend lend me a friendly ear

Listen to what I have to say

for these words are spoken 

in a very special way

I say I love you and I mean it so

I count all my fingers and my toes

Too let you know I have twenty of those

Memories are few and far between

And for many years I will remember you

Your kind and tender heart be true

I'll be telling you for years to come

That I love you from head to toe

and will always tell you so

Letting you know 

I will never let you go

Bless your soul

Your heart be true
