When Life Turns Into Sour Grapes

When Life Turns Into Sour Grapes

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

Sad times You can not shake

"
It was one of a puzzling Kind
A friendship that was her's and Mine
We were both troubled at our separate times
We drew comfort in each others words

A smile a wink encouraging I think
We reach out to one and other
Our needs meet or just a cover
Weakness settled in giving into sadness

Her candle in the wind was blown out
Her light no longer shined
I was left blinded in the darkness
Of her absents in my life

In her darkness the Lord Lead her into the light
The warning signs were there
I did all I could I was there
She was bent on this distraction

In her life it was amounts her thoughts all her life
When Life turns into sour grapes
Sad times you can not shake
I prayed with her and put in God's Hands

When I think Past my thoughts
I done every thing I can
emptiness fills the space
where there once was a soul

Who I loved with all my heart as good a gold
I spent my days and night trying to get her mind right
But she was too wound up string out
But I never stopped trying to reach her soul

What she did broke my heart
Its over now she is with the Lord
But I will carry this scare on my soul
Thinking there was always something I could of done

or said to change things
But It was her time and God took her
and gave to her eternal rest
I am not to second Guess

what the Lord has
In store for me
When my Time is through
And we will meet again.
