Silence of a Man

Silence of a Man

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

Who wish Good Woman would understand

"
I come from simpler times I suppose
When All It took was my hand and a rose
Brought a smile to my lady's face
In harmony we would walk in pace

Hand In Hand
Our warmed hearts could not erase
The simple notes to the songs embrace
Two hands intertwined for life

Some day I will get enough courage
To ask the final question
Will you be my Wife?
Would she have to think about it twice

Would she know from the start
I was the Man of choice
No other one would do
She would be happy with Me as I am with you

The silence of a man
Who wishes a good woman would understand
The needs of this shy young man this day
Doesn't have much riches just his hand and his heart
For a good Start.

Hello Jim, I thought the first Stanza was superb,
Until I read it all the way with such awestruck
interest, and you Sir, didn't disappoint me and
finishes. strong!

Courtship now a days are very much
different from before. Writings such as this could
Polished away the stains of the rusted armor
Of today's youth, A respectful piece, and thanks
For sharing and for the Add.
