Same Old Monday MorningA Poem by SmittyJasGot to get movingI got to get moving It's the same old Monday morning I got the blues of starting a new week Of works grind and strain really rattles my brains I do it all for my family and my baby who I love till the ends of the earth and would fly to the moon for As Long as she told me she loved me forevermore forty hours plus the work week flies by no time for slouches Just stress and strain on the brain I give it all the family A house thats a home with love to go around Children who call me daddy Can you find the time to play with me this day Before I grow up and don't want to play with you anymore Times are flying by so fast I don't know how long they are going to last before today becomes the past And all I have is Memories Of Good times work no play Made dad look foolish In his children's eyes Not another day at work over a day with family entrainment The Kids are grown and out of the house Things around here are quiet as a mouse Now I wish I would of listen to my wife and spent more time away from work and with my children who are raised and gone And trying to start a life of their own. Same Old Monday Morning!! Drag myself to work Forgotten about the fun I had with the children All I every worried about was getting my A*s to work
