As she takes that second glance

we she see my weaknesses

or see straight to the heart of a good man

Seek only the soul and not the faults

that everyone has I'm not perfect

and the first to admit it I stumble in the dark

and need a helping hand

now and again

Will she look past my faults

I not so smart not to bright

But I did ok

We struggled along the way

Time went by fast

Good times could not last

We worked hard and fast

Keeping the bills about water

Life couldn't get any harder

But the kids grown up

and we move on

now we just try to get along
