Title 31A Story by Ouchymytoe
The child hears their mother crying in her arms as she makes dinner.
"I just wanted to be happy. Why can't I just shut up and be happy?" The child looks at its toy, puts it down, and looks at its hands. At that moment the child feels stained. Stained by guilt. When the child wants a new toy, they will not ask for it. When the child doesn't understand, they will not ask a question. When a child is wronged, they will not talk back. Oh, but that child feels it all. The pain of seeing the ones happy with a new toy, the pain of having the lowest score, and the pain of not being heard. The child is not happy but they will learn to act like they are. Their Suffering is nothing compared to that of a mother. You can compare this, and you are allowed to think the child suffers more or the mother suffers more but why should either? The mother was a child too. Never asked for a toy, never asked a question, never talked back. What a good child, what a beautiful child. Yet she suffers all the same, and I ask why she could not find happiness in this. Was it the pressure from whoever you think is cruel enough, or was it for not keeping her legs crossed? Is one more outrageous than the other because it was wanted? Why is a suffering mother a happy child? © 2025 Ouchymytoe |
