The Simple Truth

It may seem a little- Corny but oh well I had to write

I lie;

 

 I am not perfect, nor will I ever be,

I can try, but it would be oh very sly,

to ever try to lie, Oh my, I leap so

high, I feel as though I may touch

the sky, You see? another lie,

Tie me down, and you'll see me drown,

You'll finally have your crown, Go forth

into the town, I want lie, Not I you see

easy as pie, not to lie.

even if it seems "corny" as you said, i love how you also said "oh well i had to write" because it's just that feeling that we need to write sometimes even if we don't think it is so well of a write, someone else might think it is.
I loved the title and the picture with this poem.
The bold words of "I lie" at the top in the beginning is well how you did that.
I really like how you wrote these lines here:
"Tie me down, and you'll see me drown,
You'll finally have your crown"
and also liked the last line with the pie and lie, nice rhyming in this. :)
