Oh eating disorders.

Anorexia
Disgust in oneself
Turned to loathing
Self-hatred
Desperate mutilation
Of a body once round and innocent
With a child’s chub
And mother’s cooking
Wasted away
Calorie by calorie
I shaved away
Shaved away
Shaved away the pounds
With a blade dull
From past agony
Peeling off the skin cell by cell
Burning that dreadful fat in hell
Blood dribbled down
Waterfall of crimson
Warm and sickly sweet
Muscles clench
Bunch
And tighten
Peeled away
Dull razor blade
Choked with chunks lean
Starved meat
Stringy to the taste
Clinging in bits
And shreds
To bones once so strong
Now crumbling long gone
Around organs
Failing
Falling
White skeleton comes out to play
Eat they say
But I keep shaving the pounds away…
