Mountains

Mountains

A Poem by someguy772
"

This is a rambling, I talk a little bit about my experiences visiting Washington State last September. This is a poem about escapism from the eyes of a man in his early 20s (me)

"
Run away,
Let me send you a post card from a small town on the edge of the country you've never been,
Let my soul fly,
Free from this rat race,
Free from the grips of emotional turmoil,
Free from the constraints of our Capitalistic overlords,
Let me run away into the mountains,
Being from the south but my heart belongs in the Pacific North West,
The mountains, the rain, the fog, the evergreen forests that was home to me,
When my hazel eyes laid upon those foggy mountains some see majestic nature in her full serenity,
Some see isolation
I witnessed belonging, i seen salvation,
Some want gold, others love, my heart yearns for Escape,
In those mountains my heart..... my soul felt at peace.
