To look into your eyes

Would be to accept your reality

To see what you see

And know your pain

To swim in your eyes

Gaze until love pours from

Down into the depths of your being

A love like that is one I desire

For now I cannot look 

Into your eyes

And hope to see and feel

something that is just not there.

Beautifully written. To see pain in another can stop you from seeing anything else. It can be terrible to see and know you are as helpless as they are at making it better. We can only hope you will be there when the fog clears.
