Child Abuse

Child Abuse

A Poem by Sophster300
"

This poem is about a girl who wonders why her parents abused her.

"

My parents have gone

They’ve left me alone

With very hurt feelings

And a broken jawbone

My parents have left me

The thought makes me cry

That they didn’t really care

I just want to know why

They’d want to hurt their child

Kick, punch and burn her

Make her feel unwanted

N’ slice her heart with a razor

Why couldn’t they be nice?

Helpful or caring

Why did they always leave me

Suffering and aching.

A powerful poem with a sad message. You said enough in this poem. Create a sad vision of abuse and pain. I like how you asked questions in this poem. A excellent poem.

Don't know any advice to help you improve. It's way good. It's a good ending, but if you wanted to, you could keep going pretty easily I think. Way good poem though!

My feeling is carry on. Write what you want to write how you want to write it. Especially when the topic and the emotion is so personal and deep. Courageous poem. Thank you.
