So close, I've almost got you but you're still so far away...

So close

I finally have you

and yet you are still so far away

my fingertips graze your skin

a fleeting, true glance at something so beautiful and perfect

a ghost of you lingers in my eyes

something I've wanted so long

even if you are in just this form

even if I can barely have you now

at least I've got a part of you

and that's more than I had before.

Author's Note

I don't know why I titled it like that, but the word popped into my head and I thought it fit. I've never been to an opera before, but those romantic ones are usually around the same concept as this, right? I don't know, but...I felt like writing something pretty, and I think this is pretty. ^^ What do you guys think?
