Every time I see you in my dream
I reach out to you and scream
But you fizzle out into thin air
Like you were never there

To fix the pieces of my broken self I'm trying
They're repeatedly shattered each time we see,I spend time crying
But you just walk on by
Like a deterrent that to come to you I shouldn't try

I'm here immobilized by fear as I try to move on
Stung by pain as your presence lingers on
The void of your absence is felt even more
I pray for the courage to muster strength to close the door
