Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by DarkPoet

And when you ghost,
endeavour to stay ghosted.
Don’t come back with sob stories,
seeking sympathy from the very hearts
you once roasted.

I’m not denying pain or trauma
life bruises all of us.
But even wounds have choices,
and actions still echo,
karma or not.

I still wonder why you keep dragging
the ruins of yesterday
into a future that’s begging
to breathe fresh air…
yet you hold your own joy hostage.

Still , trauma doesn’t excuse
the love of vanity,
the need to polish, pretend, perform
while misusing sincerity.
You dress up for the ops,
a foolish clown feeling fantastic
in plastic.

Grow a spine.
Own the part you play
in your own misery ,
trading gold for pebbles
and calling it victory.

But when you’re left bleeding,
cold and alone with your choices…
do me one kindness:
stay away,
just as you did
when you couldn’t care
to text back
or pick your phone.
