relapsing since you hung up the phone
i'm tired of being afraid to be alone
the more you withdrew into the darkness
the more i missed your kiss and caress

footsteps echo from the empty halls
faded portraits of you on crumbling walls
what's left now to save but the feeble life
take a deep breath and raise the knife

what are you going to do if i end it all
will you scream when they find me
last syllable of your name on my lips
the cold steel on my fingertips?

crumple my last letter to you in the fire
hide your tears shining like broken glass
what is it going to take to get through
when all i can do is feel love for you?

will you cry your eyes out behind a veil
as the rain falls on the black car roof
will you cry as they shut me in the dark
and knowing that you made me disappear?
