Also something that I wrote while sitting up one night...procrastinating...

In every life there is a wicked walk,
One stroll in the forest of dark deeds
Where bitter choices snare dithering feet
And demons strike the unshod heel

At a time when it means one’s world
And yet, strangely, nothing at all,
In a place where it’s midnight black
And saint white and corpse grey

Where blood red is only real
In long forgotten nightmares,
Where every searching turn
And every breathing shadow
Is sweet breath and death at once,
Frigid as the void while burning
With more unbridled passion than
Any human heart has ever known

Where one decision is fated to be
the Climax of the Journey
And the Chooser of the Way,
the Means of the End
And the Painter of the Past

One decision that must be made
At a crossroads where both paths
Lead only to regret and sorrow,
At a time when virtuous innocence
Need fall like a bough’s leaves
