SinèadA Poem by Richard MWe only see them for awhile, before the darkness!I only knew one song, definitely didn't like her style, but an appreciation, a respect for her past, her life the difficulties, hardships, a troubled soul. Aretha, her sound unique. Not realising her roots spreading far, an influence to many So many, our beautiful Tina, our beautiful Olivia, our beautiful Whitney, our beautiful Judith I never knew. Randy Meisner, Tony Bennett. Heard this morning Jimmy Buffet's gone. I loved his music, dreamingly his lifestyle. But that's all I knew, all I saw or heard. In recent days Gary Wright, penning the beautiful Dream Weaver. We grew up knowing them, knowing their music, but that's all we knew, all we saw. We hold onto what we know, holding them as icons in our days. They can do no wrong, but underneath is chaos, calamity we don't know, don't see. their ĺife; only what we read, only what we see We see the stars not the darkness, too late to know. r.m. © 2025 Richard MReviews
