Live This Life

be happy, as
each day is a gift,
enjoy it and
be happy.

each day ....

enjoy this life.
where to be
in our anger,
in our rage,
in our rebellion?
to what end,
for what gain
violence?

words raging,
anger, tension,
violence,
indifference,

just love life,
don't hang onto things
hang onto the positive,
don't let simmer boil.

little things;
little kindnesses,
little actions

to be present,
to listen to
each other,
stop and feel
and hear,
a healing

happiness, it
does exist,
pursue it!

a hidden knife,
a loaded gun

be positive, because,
so many aren't,
be a light.
do what you've
got to do.

laughter, lighten up,
life isn't that hard.

bullets, bombs,
riots, words,
what do we gain?
who wins,
for what
in the bigger scheme?

lives wasted,
buildings crumble,
nations topple
for what?
to govern over a
pile of stones,
a hole in the ground?
barren, lifeless
wastelands?

look, see;
the lighter side,
the brighter side,
another way,
another idea.

return evil with good,
don't let that simmer boil,
the world; a softer way,
a kinder way,
the only way!

focus on who we are, now, and
make the best of what we have now.
Our life will close in its
own time,
live this life!

Thanks so much Chris for your words. I don't see things with rose coloured glasses, but I just think that, we as people, get so wound up in the daily news, what's happening in our world over and over, commentaries, etc and we never slow down, never just take a break. We never get to the stage of just being. We worry, we stew and there maybe little or nothing we can do about the situation. People get so wound up, this only winds other people up. And for what? Hence, live this life!

Me? I'm going well and making slow progress. Little corners being turned more frequently these days, but getting closer to where I want to be.
