Here Comes The SunA Poem by Richard MWe hear the news, commentary on the news every day, bombarded with facts and figures and we get so carried away, fixated by what we hear. This poem is a call to slow our lives, look around, LIVE!George's words familiar, but for something beyond the noise of society, the rage of society, the ache in society. All colours, all corners, ripples, waves, undercurrents, mindless directions, shadows long, but the same sun shines. Voices, voices clamouring attention, some soft, some loud, discontented rumblings. TV, radio, newspapers screaming their headlines, everyone needing their say. The day to day, but these things make our lives to tick. Morning news, just enough, a knowing, an understanding, but caught in the here and now, so fixated on what is. Any number will share their views on society, the daily news, but these things cling, these things follow day to day to day. Don't waste time things you cannot change, energies washed away. There must be time for rest, there must be time for slow. News, information, technology, so far from the freedom of life. For the simpleness of just a day, but life, its worries cloud our way. Taking in a 'bigger' view, always searching a patch of blue. Be concerned, not surprised, but look instead with other eyes. Just to take in the day, to say the things we need to say. Somewhere to catch a little 'sun', before anxieties come undone. Other people and what they do, this is them, but which is you? In the clear light of day, step by step, it'll be okay. Each day will be what it will, as we stumble up that hill. So many ways of life, so many paths to follow, slow down, relax, but look instead tomorrow. We need to change our mood, maybe to soften an attitude. don't lose days, things running to a misty haze. need to find a happiness, something absorbing, and free from stress. days happen as they will, but life, it's out there .... waiting! r.m. 2024 © 2025 Richard MReviews
