Island

Island

A Poem by Hallow

On an island, alone
Far, far away
Where I think I belong
Where I will stay.

Dark waves and deep water
Keep me so still.
Starless nights, moonless
Shiver and kill.

Strong tides and razor teeth
Should I stay here?
Swift gales, blazing sun rays.
Soak up my fear.

A lone, empty boat bobs
Board the unknown?
Calm horizon, distant clouds
My choice alone.

Sounds like the aftermath of a difficult experience. Take the boat.
