Awakening

Awakening

A Poem by Hallow

Silence is golden
In the wake of the dream.
A comfortable lonely
Just me, so it seems.

Like a snap of fingers,
And I woke to myself.
Confident and assured
My feelings so felt.

The seconds claw on
In this beautiful day.
Anxiously waiting
For that cold, dark ray.

The world now tangible,
And the wind is a hug.
Simmering, warm hope
And a shallow grave dug.

Demons and zombies
Fact, fiction, or lore?
Night will come again,
And devour my core.
