Okay

I'm okay today
Even if everything's frayed.
I feel a little light
Like there's no stones to be weighed.

I'm hopeful, I am
That it will stretch far.
That even when night comes
My sparkle will stay a bright star.

But I wonder, I watch
For the shadows of cold
They normally leech their way in
When I'm feeling so awfully bold.

But, for just now,
I'm okay with just okay.
Happy is far too much hope
When there's demons out to play.
