Soul Flare

Soul Flare

A Poem by Hallow

I love you, I love you
My heart just zooms.
The tinkling explosions
Of sparkles and swoons.

My heart and my soul
Mirrored to me in flesh.
A rope that has me tethered;
Like a tangled spirit mesh.

So why, oh ever why?
Do I wall the stones so high?
I let the cold encase me,
And encourage you to fly.

And yet, but still yet,
You're an anchor to my boat.
You pepper me with hope,
So off course I don't float.
