Collect Call

Collect Call

A Poem by Hallow

If Heaven had a landline,
I could hear your voice again.
A refresh of what I hear
When I think to way back then.

The faces blur over the years
Until I see an old picture.
Grief and memory clashing
To make a cloudy mixture.

I bet that everyone wishes
They could go visit the dead.
Me? I'd be more than happy
With just a brief call, instead.
