La douleur

 Distract me,Distract me now,

Eyebrows furrow,tears flow,

Heart heavy,thoughts race through my mind.

Distract me from the sadness,

Distract me from the pain,

Help me move through my obstacles,

Help me to remain sane.

People around,no one to care,

My solitude embraced,

Overwhelming suppression I fear.

I smile,but the struggle is real,

So much all at once,the pain is surreal

Distract me,Distract me now,

Help me to smile,

Please,someone,I need you to listen,

My heart hurts,salty streams continue to glisten.
