Slumber eases the pain

 I choose to sleep.

Because for awhile,

I'm dead.

All thoughts,

All words,

Everything left unsaid.

I don't think of life,

How I cannot be your wife.

I have no tears,no fears.

My eyes close,

My body numb,

Forgetting the moments.

I sleep because life is easy,

That way,

I worry not who you're with.

I need not imagine,

On us-you quit.

I sleep for it is peace.

In slumber,

I do not know your love.

I do not know my desire for you.

All I know,

is the sad,truth.

I close/open my eyes-still love you.
