Hug

A poem written after the most amazing hug I have ever had.

To feel you in my arms
Made me feel alive
The way you held yourself
With your arms among mine

The way your head felt on my shoulder
The way I had to stoop
The way you let me cling on tight
Never before had it felt that way

I love the way you let me stay
And even when you're not there
I feel an odd sense of love inside
Long after you sweet smell leaves my skin

If only you knew
Even just a little
Quite how much I love those moments
And how deeply I love you
