Before Life

Before Life

A Poem by Seductively Sentimental

You weave frothy mists

Seeking soft rainbow roads

to starlight beds lining the horizon.

Soar through silvered summer skies

that morph into moon-painted shadows-

You anxiously await existence.

The thunder excites desire;

with deathbeds seeking dead,

and baby cribs awaiting life anew.

The mystery’s so delicious -

when you don’t know what it is.

You have no idea what you’re getting into!

It feels like a journey through the in-between ,where birth and death blur, where skies are both hopeful and haunted. There's something deeply cosmic here, like a soul deciding whether or not to be born. I don’t know whether to feel comforted or unsettled and I love that. Such a great imagination.

This is a very descriptive poem with interesting imagery in it. It flowed very well and has a poetic music to it. I really like your poem.
