I Never Left At All

 

Don’t mourn for me as I slip away

From these bonds of earth

Remember, Jesus has a plan

From the moment of our birth

 

He knows how much you love me

He knows how much you care

So think of me quite often

And I’ll be with you everywhere

 

When you stop to watch a sunrise

Or see the morning dew

I want you to believe

That I am there with you

 

Listen to the breeze

Hear the gentle sound

Hold me in your heart

And know that I’m around

 

I’m always on your mind

I’m forever in your heart

Keep your memories close

And we’ll never be apart

This is a poem I wrote for a 14 year old boy who had died of cancer. I know neither the boy or his parents that this was given to. I was told of the passing and had a tremendous urge to write this--please enjoy..
