Vacations Of The Mind

Today is another memory (a vacation of my mind)

 

What I wouldn’t give to see her one more time. I only knew her brief period of my life, but I feel that as the years have passed we have grown closer.

 

I can still remember her voice, I hear it in the morning as the birds begin to stir. I can remember brushing her hair as she sat in her recliner. I remember when I was sick how she would comfort me by rubbing a finger across my eyebrow.

 

I would give a million tomorrows if I could just spend another day with her.
