Barefoot CinderellaA Poem by Crystal HeartYou were my prince, but
I couldn’t be more wrong, I’ve woken from my
slumber and there was silence and no
song, To dance to, and you are
just waltzing away with a smile on your face, While I’m left in the
corner, not properly dressed, a huge disgrace, I glance at the mirror
and the sight shocked me, I’m clothed in a pile of
rags, and I can’t seem to see, The princess I
envisioned myself to be, My glass slippers are
gone, and I’m barefoot on the ground, The clock has stopped
ticking, and my prince has left, nowhere to be found. © 2015 Crystal Heart |
