More Than Just WeirdA Poem by AmandaGarrett wonders if he's something more than a weirdo with blue skin.
Garrett Andrews sighed as he stared up at the stars,
Wondering if his true parents were near or far. They’d abandoned him, you see, When he was only just about three. Sometimes he thought that it wasn’t true, That he was imagining his skin’s bluish hue. Now that Garrett was alone though, He wondered if his fate had something else in tow. Sometimes the stars seemed to wink back at him, This mystery was wearing thin like he was becoming slim. Less and less there seemed to be, And each day had come with a new mystery. Even if his foster parents sneered, Garrett Andrews wondered if he was more than just weird. © 2012 AmandaAuthor's Note
