Fade AwayA Poem by AmandaFade AwayI’m not good enough. We’ve already been through this. I am neither weak, nor tough, Just an invisible little wisp. When I finally fade away, Only a few will be upset, But they will quickly be okay. They won’t notice, I bet, They never did before, But I don’t blame them. Far from flashy like the clothes they wore, More like a frayed hem. My candle light is burning low, Saying I wont just snuff it out is a lie, A light would be nice wherever I’m about to go, But it won’t stop me, this is our last goodbye. © 2012 Amanda |
