Don't Leave Me

I want to cry, “Don’t leave me behind.”

But you have left me in your trail of dust.

Our talks feel so icy, like I did something unkind.

 

Something somewhere has changed,

Something somewhere veered off track.

Once close, now estranged,

I only want my friend back.

I don’t want to lose you,

But I feel like someone pushed away,

And I don’t know what to do.

 

I want to cry, “Don’t let me go!”

But I am slipping, my friend.

And it’s now that I know,

This may truly be our end.

i have had this happen so much your so close to someone such good mates and then your lives take over things separate you and you slowly drift apart and your bond is never the same again really sucks when this happens.
Emotional and sad little write i loved the rhyming scheme well written and very true :)

I can really relate to this
It hurts when someone close to you ignores you or pushes away
It makes you feel like you did something wrong
I hope that things are fixed with this person and everything is back to normal :)

Very emotional poem. I can feel the essence of being left behind and losing someone very close to your heart.
I like the 3-line 4-line pattern with rhyming in the 4-liners.
