Sophie
A Poem by

Written for The Rapist
You always seem to pick up the pieces, Holding me together, But what happens when you can’t iron those creases? And you can no longer tether? You don’t deserve my burden, Not a single bit, So now, it don’t matter when I’m hurtin’, Just relax and sit! You deserve a trophy, For being the way that you are, Just…thank you, Sophie, For always passing the bar.

This is written for one of my best friends. I haven't seen her since school got out, but she's always there for me

Ah! I'm tearing up. But it does matter when you're "hurtin'" because you shouldn't have to, so I try to take it away. Thank you for this :)
