Whirled Into you

Whirled Into you

A Poem by Sujan

After mourning my dreams
And burying my desires somewhere far,
I was a soul
Lost from life itself.

From the window
Leaning quietly,
I watched fog drifting by my side
And saw, dim and blurred,
The roads and crossings I had to walk alone.

Then, out of nowhere,
Whirled the cyclone of circumstances
Spinning, spinning
I suddenly fell,
Right into your embrace.

Startled, I glanced around,
Wondering "Where am I really?"
My heart raced,
The fog clouding my mind lifted,
And only then
Did I finally see:

I - who had vanished from life-
How strange!
Had been resting quietly in your heart, My dear....
