Screaming Ladies & Walter MittysA Poem by Sujash I. PurnaBlurred, every vision Stupendously staggering, as if to fall Nightmares encircling, alter egos crumbling to dust Horn-rimmed glasses, broken cigarettes Handmedown jackets and shoes Newspapers calling their headlines Mario Puzo is laying on the sofa Sherlock Holmes; the state of the art series Couch potatoes watch them on tellies And brimming coffees sipped over thrillers Fictions on love archaic Times are grave these days We live like Walter Mittys Pot bellied tycoons wannabe Dreams float like smoke Snooze over telephones, no more 911s They are pathetic We live like Walter Mittys Screaming children and ladies Shush! Saviors asleep! Marauding criminals! Shush! We need sleep! Bank-looting bandits! We are sleep, shush! Rapists with cape! We are asleep! Shush! We live like Walter Mittys Make-believes are real, fiction is reality... © 2011 Sujash I. PurnaReviews
